Has anyone else noticed that anime art is just becoming more “flat”. Noticing that with Kakuriyo season 2. It feels like they’re eschewing proper shading and speed running things. The studio changed in between so that may be it, but I’m seeing it with more anime. Don’t get me started on Demon Lord, Retry S2.
As a light novel enjoyer, I’m excited to watch all the anime-only folks go through the emotional rollercoaster this arc brings.

I cannot make any promises about how well it’s adapted, of course. I do think this past season was a bit rushed, because of just how much they needed to pack into a limited number of episodes.
Very excited for more Re:Zero! Still can’t believe we’re getting it so soon (April 2026), I was expecting a similar wait to what we got between season 2 and 3.
