Shin Sekai Yori (From The New World) and Dennoh Coil are amazing sci-fi series that are always overlooked.
Not mentioning Ghost In the Shell is a travesty
I think the animated series somehow went under the radar.
Just finished a rewatch of SAC and it’s mind-blowingly on point and relevant.
I enjoyed SAC much more than the original feature. It had time to world-build etc.
Did you know there are two more anime after that?
Also, I loved both the JoJo and Kamen Rider references.
I watched 2nd Gig and was vaguely aware of more, but the franchise fell off my radar.
The latest season is a prequel. I am dying to watch it. My only concern is the animation style changed to 3DCG.
ALSO, while I was double-checking my facts, I saw that a new season is releasing this year.

Not only is a new season releasing, it’s being animated by Science Saru. Very exciting.
I SAW THAT but I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make it weird.
Planetes would be in my top 5.
Absolutely. The opening still gives me chills.
Been meaning to check out Space Dandy.
animated godzilla and gamera has becoming interesting to me. Inuyasha should be up there, one of the OG ones in the early 2000s.
Suprisingly, also “Rascal Does Not Dream Of A Bunny Girl Senpai,” in my opinion
Most people are turned away by the name and cover art 🤫
It doesn’t feel like a scifi IMO.
