Thanks! I completely missed this thread somehow.
On a positive side, the Lemmy community in general does seem to be growing!

If it’s good, I’ll love it. I rarely drop anime.
Ainz, huh huh huh, I know you’re in there. You don’t have any reason to be in there anyway. Why don’t you come on out and play a little. You CRUNCH know you CRUNCH need me CRUNCH. HERE’S ALBEDO!
I’m watching this and am continuously concerned for the cast. We know it gets much darker.
Episode 1 felt like Sword Art and I hated it. Episode 2 feels like a romcom and it was better.
Iska, the leading male character, could be replaced by a magic kumquat and/or pez dispenser. No motives and little emotion coming through. I would like to know why he set the prisoner free. Maybe he could be less ambivalent about his time in prison.
Alice, the leading female character, has a bit more substance to her. Why does she seem so detached from her role? As royalty, she would have a structured life, but she seems to be more of a bored teenager.
Otherwise, the animation is good. The supporting characters are more like classmates than fellow soldiers.
They didn’t. Comments were part of the original IP.
I’m stoked for this suddenly. Berserk was one of the first anime that blew my mind.
The characters are well thought out with significant development. They are likeable and dynamic.
There is a bit of science behind the main character’s work, although the approach is more logical estimating like Sherlock Holmes and less scientific method.
I immediately thought that Cells at Work was getting an even edgier third season.
It started as power leveling and seems to be stuck in a slice of life, almost?
There isn’t much drama to it once the protagonist decides it’s not such a big deal to be undead and everyone just decides that he must just be going through something.
I think the plot might be a little unfocused, but it’s not horrible.
Good enough for one episode a week, but I wouldn’t rewatch. If I was facing the whole season at once I might bail.
She looks like a little lost girl. Maybe someone can help her find her family?
Berserk of Gluttony seems like an isekai without the pretense. I personally don’t feel like much new ground is being covered yet, but I was only two episodes in. The idea is interesting, and I’d like to see where it is going.
I tentatively began this show. The animation is fantastic. The characters are solid. The story and premise is well thought out.
I appreciate the most that the author is not attempting to explain the fantasy world through video game mechanics, and that there is some explanation for the way magic works.
First time watching this person.
They only finished watching 2 anime this season.
Dungeon People (I liked it) Ramen Akuneko (I didn’t watch)
They recommended Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Bye Bye Earth, along with Yatagarasu, Slime, and Spice and wolf.
They feel that most people only watch 5-6 shows, so it’s fine.
Since they watched 9 shows this spring it gives them credibility.
There is some discussion about how one feels about their favorite shows.
My first impression of this influencer is that they are experiencing changes in taste.
My rant is that everyone slept on dead dead demons dededede destruction. Same reason. My cred is that I probably watched 45 shows this year.
Also, my taste is shit.
