I’ve been watching this and I like the story but I absolutely loathe and hate the disgusting amount of recap. Each episode starts with at least 3 minutes worth of recap - one of them didn’t actually start the episode until 9 minutes and 30 seconds in! And then it has recap mid-episode for no apparent reason, it’s like they’re adding recap to commercial breaks. Then the ending song rolls minutes before the end of the episode and there is post-ending recap.

25 minute episodes somehow turn into only 10 to 12 minutes of actual story. It’s insane. I enjoy the story but it’s one of the worst anime this season and I’m going to badmouth it and recommend that people skip it because it’s trash. It’s absolute trash anime because of the insane amount of recap.

There is nothing worse in anime than recap and the studio behind this anime is absolute trash level talent and they should all be fired. The studio should go bankrupt and not exist anymore.

What a craptastic episode where absolutely nothing happened.

They left the dungeon and went to the guild.

    That’s it.

In the manga, this entire sequence is all of two chapters. 28 pages. And Ruche only spent two panels freaking out over the dagger instead of half the episode.

They move the story along in tiny increments by turning each episode into more than 50% recap.

GoHands is the studio making this and I have come to absolutely hate and detest them. Worst anime studio in Japan. I’ve never hated an anime studio before. But I hate GoHands.

Fantastic episode with a great deal of world building in which we find out that Elm’s house really do amount to a small fish in the grand scheme of things. This is another episode involving a high level negotiation, but the problem for Elm is trying to figure out if the guild master is a friend or foe before he shows too much of his hand.

I suppose if we try to consider the situation from the guild master’s viewpoint, she doesn’t know these adventurers and intelligence on them will amount to almost nothing. She isn’t sure what they want and knowing what they actually want is when the real negotiations can begin.

The most natural resolution is probably having these two adventurers perform some sort of service that achieves two different goals: Elm and Ruche will provide intelligence on their capabilities and prove their trustworthiness.

Or they come to an impasse and no one gets anything. That is a valid outcome if they can’t agree on anything.

I suppose while I find this interesting to consider, many people will not and that’s perfectly fine! This is just my opinion!
