Next week, I’m guessing Elymas will just stand around wasting time for no reason while talking to a blacksmith. In many normal anime, blacksmiths are pretty tight lipped already, so I anticipate the entire episode will be either a close up of Elymas’s face or the blacksmith’s face, with a shitty Elymas voice over rattling on the whole time about a bunch of stupid shit.

You know, in other anime that have these insufferable slow parts, they pretend like the slow parts happen instantly, like in between punches. In this anime, they make it clear that time is just passing, and Elymas is just standing there looking like a stupid asshole. The dream lord’s stun wore off while he was wasting time in the last episode, and in this episode, the guild master even comments about how he’s deep in thought.

THERE’S NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT YOU DUMB SHIT. JUST MAKE YOUR DUMB SHIT REPORT AND LEAVE.

Oh, Elymas, you’re hesitant to report to the guild master because she might have set up the evolution thing? It’s stupider to lie to her about it. You’ve already given the magic stones to the front desk. They can probably tell it evolved just from that. But it’s even stupider to just stand there and say nothing. If you’re worried about her reading your mind, then report and get out as quickly as possible. How stupid are you to think somebody is reading your mind but you stick around to think about all sorts of private things?

Also, in other anime, the MC makes a consequential report to the front desk, and they freak out, and before the MC can leave, they say, “The guild master wants to speak to you.” What’s up with refusing to tell anybody and then saying you have to talk to the guild master? Why can’t you make your report to the front desk?
