The creators of this show take a lot of effort to turn the most unimportant fights into sakuga. IMO, the second part of the episode was far more interesting despite having much less jumping and explosions. I’m probably repeating myself, and I can’t say I dislike nice animations, but I wish there was less focus on random fights with cannon fodder and more on the actual plot. I also hope that this Sprigan storyline won’t just end with yet another rain of swords. It has a potential for more than that given that this demon lord is much more cunning than any other we’ve seen so far.
If I have to choose between them spending the money on the fight scenes and the conversations, I’ll pretty much always choose the fight scenes. It wouldn’t be great having them overanimated when talking to each other and then cutting to some panning shots of the battle or something.
The other fights have given us some clues about what’s happening being the scenes, so I’m confident even if we do end up turning spriggan into a pincushion we’ll get some more information about where it came from.
Some bit of humanity seems to have rubbed off in Boojum, it’d be interesting if he ends up siding against the faeries
Well, yeah, I’m not saying that they shouldn’t make fights as pretty as possible. My problem is that I think there are too many fights that could’ve been an e-mail. My complaints should probably be aimed more towards the source material but I’m anime-only, so it’s easier to write about it this way
Dude, Dotta is more badass than I thought!
