I think the weakest part of season 1’s animation was probably the spins, and it’s clear from this episode that they’ve vastly improved them. Really enjoying this.
Jesus fucking Christ, Yuna’s performance went so hard. The music chosen was epic and fit her skating so well too.
The best part had to be this freeze-frame that lined up perfectly with the beat drop:
Normally, Manaka’s performance would place her as the strongest opp to the protagonist, while Yuna’s would have qualified her as the protagonist - if not for the fact that it’s not even Inori’s turn yet!
It’s already so hyped, but the show is telling us there’s more?!
You know what would be funny though? There’s one more skater after Inori. It would be so troll if another dark horse pulled up out of nowhere to take the win.
P.S. I rewatched Yuna’s performance immediately after writing this comment. It was just too peak.
