Series premieres October 2024. The new PV is here. Check out the ANN article for additional cast/staff information. Synopsis from AniList:
I absolutely hate a world filled with sweet talking. I’ll fight the Heroine’s rationale head on!!!
After waking up as the villainess she admires so much from her favourite otome game, Alicia trains hard every day to become the greatest villainess of all time.
Villainess + Isekai
= Challenge for anime industry to come up with something original. Level: impossible
Why take a risk on “Murder mystery”, when, “I got isekai’d with a bad ability but it turns out its OP AF and also I got a harem because idk lol” is guaranteed to at least make back what was put into it?
Anime studios aren’t so different then Hollywood ones. They’re risk averse. I don’t like that shows Tatami Galaxy or Ping Pong aren’t more regular occurences, but I get it.
Yes but let’s be real, what is getting adapted isn’t bad most of the time, just because it has common points doesn’t make it bad.
Common points and formulaic are different beasts. Fist of the North Star, Demon Slayer, Kinnikuman, and Naruto are all shounen but nobody is getting them confused.
I do because i personally don’t like either of them. And yet you are here and telling my you get Overlord mixed up with Konosuba because they are both fantasy isekai and have girls in the cast…
Why risk something when there are great stories that have something in common but that points are loved by most viewers?
Ah, Prince Duke. I had to do a triple take when I first read it. The first if had my reading glasses on; the second if I read it correctly; the third was me facepalming.
Regardless of the names, as a connoisseur of otome isekai I am pretty much excited about this.
