Hopefully they have their production issues figured out at this point. I feel like the first run had all its hype killed with the constant delays.
Having played the games (and loved them), is it worth the watch?
I thought so. I’m also a huge fan of the game it’s based on. Maybe not worth the watch if you just played the game recently though, story is the same.
I haven’t watched the first series, but heard generally good things about the finished product. The series was plagued with production issues when it was being made. There were multiple episodes delayed because they weren’t finished and then the last part of the season was held for a couple months and released in a big batch due to the problems on the production side. The unpredictable/staggered release schedule just killed all the discussion around the series at the time. Looking at animekarmalist, the reddit discussion threads went from ~400 comments/episode down to <100 after the big delays.
The art in the poster looked different, which alarmed me, but the production company for cours 2 will remain the same, A-1 Productions
