- Tokyo Ghoul
- Soul Eater
- Claymore
- Deadman Wonderland
- Berserk
Hopefully those remakes don’t come with that fuckall attitude toward half of the original source like the ones we’re seeing around 2010s.
As for Berserk, I would say no. Enough remakes, most of them shitty. And could we at least wait for the manga to finish?
I am strictly against remakes because in general they just shit on the original and kill the IP for me. But assuming we could guarantee that it’s a good remake then I would like to see:
- Captain Future
- Slayers
- Record of Lodoss War
- Patlabor
- Planetes
Berserk has two anime incarnations already. It shouldn’t be touched again until the manga either ends or stops. Pick something that’s complete in the source material but not the anime instead.
Tbh, I think Soul Eater is fine as it is. And yes, I read the manga too. They diverse 3/4 of the way through, but I wouldn’t say the manga’s ending was particularly better
I’d add a sixth space for D.Gray-man.
Hell yeah, D.Gray-man was so good. Hallow not as good iirc, and it’s been a while since I’ve read the manga, but I remember it kinda going off the rails in a way that I didn’t really enjoy.
Have you read the manga in the last like …10 years? I’d be down to pick it back up / reread it, but im sure I dropped it for a reason…
