It’s delivering on everything the PVs made me hope for.

They added kawaii to my kakkoii and it is better, not worse.

I’d like to see someone at least explain why they hated it. My only complaint is the utterly breakneck pace of the first episode, but I didn’t mind the aesthetic at all. The colors were strikingly beautiful, and the animation itself definitely reminded me of 80’s anime. There’s a charm to it’s eccentricity.

I’m surprised how much hate this gets. I, for one, am loving the character designs, backgrounds, the animation, and especially the audio. The soundtrack absolutely slaps. That orchestral music during the fight was an outstanding choice. That said, my experience with GitS is limited to the movie from 1995 and Innocence, and I’ve never been particularly attached to their art style. I have to say I also actually like this goofy Major more. I’m hoping the quality won’t go down after the first episode.

What did they do to the characters.

I remember people complaining that the SAC style made everyone look like apes. SAC looks beautiful compared to this

Why did they infantilize the Major? This feels like the feed the manga into ai and asked for an adhd cartoon. I hate it so much.

Yep. I hate this exactly as much as I expected I would hate it. Maybe a little bit more.
