The idea of a protagonist who is the best at blacksmithing, but not fighting, could be interesting. Unfortunately this looks like just another power fantasy. Hey, I’d be happy to be proven wrong…
For what it’s worth, I vaguely remember reading part of the original webnovel at Wuxiaworld (many many years ago when the site was a lot less trouble to use), and I dropped it after about a hundred chapters. If I recall correctly and don’t have it confused with something else they started translating at around the same time, it’s a Korean VRMMO novel of no particular distinction, and yeah, a power fantasy.
The kana reads: Temparu/Temper: Item No Chikara/Item’s Strength
The source web novel and adaptation webcomic are called Overgeared though.
