Depends your values. I like extreme freedoms and privacy, thus SimpleX is my go-to. With Sanae Takaichi at the helm, it’s bound to become more xenophobic & sexist than it is currently. In simpleX, I can drop the entire server offline if I don’t like a group. If LINE goes down, well LINE is down. Decentralization wins here.

I haven’t watched any S3 yet, (I definitely will) but reports seem like a big step down in animation quality.

I don’t know who is to blame. It might be the director, but maybe they did the best with what they were given. Maybe the producers didn’t spend enough time or money on the project. Maybe they couldn’t get the raw talent they needed. And, of course, maybe the director fucked it.

I don’t think we will ever know. That might be intentional.

It’s been one of the poorest “animations” I’ve ever seen; not in the One-Punch Man series, but in anime in general. Not only there’s lots of just panning and zooming, but the image that’s panned or zoomed has much lower quality than the manga. Lots of frozen facial expressions with only the mouth moving, it reminds me of Clutch Cargo or of the cut-out animations of Monty Python’s Terry Gilliam. Of course all anime do this to some degree, but this so extreme that you become completely aware of it.

Blame or no blame, one reason or another, it’s J.C. Staff that made this, and it sucks. I wonder how an animation studio can do something like this; it affects the studio’s popularity and can only have negative consequences down the line.

I haven’t seen it yet because I have yet to watch S2, but people calling it One png Man or One Slide Man gave me a chuckle. Shouldn’t be harassing anyone fot it though.

Maybe, some parts are well animated but then other more important parts are just fine. I’ve been describing it as if a fan animation was professionally done because there’s small stuff that’s just off like poor usage of the OST

I haven’t watched it either, but there are some truly terrible clips. In one, it’s literally a PNG of Garou sliding down a hill lol…

Sounds like it depends on if they did most of the budget on the big fights later on. But possibly if 1st 2 episodes are how the rest of the season is

I mean, good. We all know that the owners of these sites manipulate the algorithm to push a specific agenda. Seems like the only way to take that power from them is to leave the websites.

Why do people so often blame and shame the actual people that worked on this? It’s so dumb. You think the director and animators wanted to deliver bad animation?

It’s mind boggling that people will come home from work and complain about shitty and overbearing bosses yet never translate that other workers, especially in creative industries, might be suffering from the same thing, and that it influences the quality of their production.

The utter lack of solidarity is truly depressing.
