As I suspected, this won’t be a top-tier anime in terms of visuals, but it makes up for that in how it presents the story and develops its characters. So far, even the tropes typical for this genre, like some special powers appearing out of nowhere or an evil church, don’t spoil the experience for me. Also, I’m happy that the special skill doesn’t turn Romelia into a powerful fighter, and she’s actually pretty bad with a sword. Her playing a role of a great strategist and leader is more interesting than yet another OP heroine.
