The citizenship medal registration box is too damn big!
I don’t think this can possibly be a spoiler, because it has nothing to do with the plot, but since it’s info from the LN, I’ll mark it as a spoiler, anyways.
Source material info about citizenship medal box.
Citizenship medal boxes are repeatedly described as being easily carried by a single person, but too bulky to carry on a traditional highbeast, so that one is waaay too big. Also, at one point, a citizenship medal is described as being stored “behind” another one, so they’re not scattered around inside the drawer like spare change like they were in this episode. I suspect they’re supposed to be in there tidily in rows like rolls of quarters without a wrapper. Finally, and maybe I’m wrong about this, but I recall that commoner citizenship medal boxes were kept in the temple, but in this episode, they say that they got it from the castle.
Let’s add it to the list…
Replying to myself, but it occurs to me that the citizenship medals are not sorted well at all. If only they had a person with the expertise of, say, a librarian, to get them into a reasonable order.
