While this Motoko looks very similar, some of the other characters in this version are the furthest from the original IMO.
I’m referring to the art-style specifically. Designs have changed, but the style sticks with the era.

You absolutely should! The Ghost in the Shell franchise(?) is best understood as a bunch of “similar universes.” SAC is one of several (and arguably the best imo).
Still excited for this adaptation though - more GitS is always good!
