Random thought: With better support toward WebP, it is getting less hated than before. Can I say the hate toward WebP is disappeared?

    Ayy, another .avif enjoyer!

Any reason qView doesn’t work for you?

I don’t use a tiling window manager, so I’m not sure what makes imv ideal. But I dislike how every damn gallery app has an excessive featureset when all I want is to see the damn file I just double-clicked. QView has been perfect, and never let me down in terms of format support, ever since I first installed it back when I was still on windows.

TIL about qView. I am going to give this a shot because I haven’t found a great option for viewing webp outside the browser when I am stuck on Windows.

You’ll love it. It is exactly the image viewer my minimalist ass would make.

It just shows you the image, allows you zoom and pan, right click for a little more actions and details, and the arrow keys let you go next/previous in the folder.

        That’s it.

Oh, I just tried it, looks neat but qview has a bit different philosophy from imv (for tiling), shortcut bug (can’t remap F key, even after unmapping it from any else action), and what is really bad, there are viewing issues on sway. For sake of justise, I tried many viewers but unfortunatelly imv “just works” better than everything else for me. So I use mpv, web browser or kitten icat (viewing images in kitty terminal) for webp. However, I will use qview on Windows, thanks.
