The japanese defenitely have a taste in school uniform - irl it looks as nice as in anime. (They even dismounted heating battery for taking photos 👏)
The ones with a sailor collar usually are a bit more anime-ish, the ones without (like here) turn out better IRL and some could be worn without it looking like a cosplay to the outside world. Japan in general is dressed up a bit more than comparably rich countries, like shirts, ties, suits and skirts. All is just classic western dress that we don’t regularly wear anymore in the west.
from what I heard, sailor uniforms are (most commonly) middle school uniforms while these ones are more highschooly
