I want to read manga but I never get to it. I also have this feeling that if I read manga I should do it in Japanese but last time I tried it was still too difficult and very slow with looking up kanji. I have 10 Nichijou volumes in Japanese at home.
Also Ayano is doing her best Akari impression in the second panel.
According to jpdb YuruYuri (and SOL in general) is pretty nice choice for learning japanese beacause of low difficulty. I tried it, but after 1 chapter, gave up this idea for the same reasons as you. Somehow listening japanese in anime is way easier than reading, at least for me rewatching YuruYuri Nachuyachumi with japanese subtitles was not so difficult (cz there were not so many difficult sense in everyday speech).
Cool website. It doesn’t rank manga but I guess the anime adaptation is similar. Kind of funny how Yuruyuri is one of the easiest anime even compared to other slice of life. I did read Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei but in English.
