Actually licencing shit in other countries might also help … “counterfeit” is often the only option.

No mention of Komi Can’t Communicate so far?
Also Aharen-san wa Hakarenai.
It certainly is! And I still have season 2 to go.
I accidently showed this one to a friend that doesn’t watch anime … and he basically said the show is very accurate and he was that guy in elementary school. I thought it was an exaggerated trope, but apparently the show is spot on.
Kurt clearly doesn’t have the deduction skill at S-rank …
The visual gag that SpaceX Dragon has shot down Yachio from orbit was great.
I don’t think this is a Falcon 9, most notibly it has a single engine and seems to be single stage.
Going by the theme of US weapons in the opening scences of this episode, I assumed it’s probably a LGM-118 Peacekeeper or at least some kind of ballistic missile.
When Yachiyo re-enters from space they first think it’s some kind of threat and trying to shoot her down. And we can see in the beginning that they have a Phalanx CIWS, Patriot air defence systems and a bunch of vertical lunch tubes. Assuming the VLS carries SM-6 missiles, that’s 3 air defence systems, two with medium range for a target that is going to hit nearby.
But instead they try to intercept her with what seems to be an ICBM? That was never going to work. This racoon needs to be court marshalled for almost blowing up the city.
I don’t dislike the new teachers character, but not quite sure why she’s there, yet. 2nd part was soldid though, a lot of deserved screentime for Oshiro.
I haven’t laughed this hard as in the 2nd part in a while. Love this show.
I watched this episode on an airplane … (I was down to the last episodes I’ve downloaded). But it was just easyJet, should be fine.
It has that much esteem!
I think it’s fundamentally not what the show is about and not every show has to tackle every moral problem there is. Sometimes you just need an interesting antagonists in a story and it would be boring if they were just mindless drones.
Don’t overthink it.
This is a nice contrast to Frieren where demons don’t have souls
Do they not? Aura’s scales of obedience are said to work by “placing her own and the target’s soul onto the scales to weigh their mana”.
Finally someone brings the proper vibes to this coversation. I recently learned there is even a term for this kind of show. “Iyashikei”.
The demons came to a town disguised as a peace envoy, a pretend diplomatic mission to disable a magic barrier. This absolutly goes beyond just immitating speech.
I’m interested in forgetting about it, this is close to triggering my PTSD. I spent way to much time on TVDB/TMDB trying to match obscure anime downloads with some reasonable airing order. And the specials … oh god deliver me from specials and OVAs.
And yes, as already mentioned “Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” gave me a big headache … I probably spend around 2 hours trying to figure out which episide is which and putting them in one of the officals orders.
I have a folder called “unsorted specials” that is about to hit 1TB …
I haven’t read the Frieren manga, but the show referred to its world’s demons as not actually speaking, but having learned to make human-like noises to elicit desired responses.
I have read ahead quite a bit, but it’s actually not relevant, because the show itself (which is pretty much identical to the manga) already debunks that.
Aura and her executioners are clearly very intellegent and even have an inner monologue. (One of the lines I actually dislike is when one demon asks the other “what is a mother?” And he just replies with “who knows?”. From what we’ve seen from the demons so far, they should be more than capable of having figured out how human reproduction works).
Akiba Maid War had me laughing and saying “what the fucking is going on?” out loud a lot.
It’s just because of lemmy that I constantly saw these posts … so I watched the anime last weekend.
There was one good arc I think, but really it’s just gaming jokes and fanservice. I did have fun.
I can see why you like it … carry on.
