    It only works on Mastodon and it’s derivatives, I think. E.g. on Misskey you’ll only see the bio text on hover, no custom fields, thus your profile just looks empty.

    Lemmy is also fundamentally different from these two and the likes, it’s a link aggregator, not a social network.

    It’s in general pretty weird to expect all ActivityPub implementations to support all the same features. You can never be sure with protocols like these. HTML tags in email messages may be rendered on 95% of the clients, but you are still supposed to include plain text alternatives for all the content because there are clients that don’t render HTML.

      “Weird” here meaning “not within the norm of expectations” or something else? Because if it’s the former, w3 disagrees with your expectations; including HTML.
