How do halos work in this universe? The robot’s (top left) looks like a ring of pure light but casts a shadow. Why are some ∞-shaped?
That’s Canti from FLCL, and even in-universe, the halo is plastic. Light sources can block light. That’s why you can see them when they’re off.

Not really. Dude just owns a toy of a thing from a show.
