    Another one for the megathread. Tagging @MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz.

    I have been thinking a bit since chatting over in the !newcommunities@lemmy.world post. If you are planning on running your own episode discussion threads, then I would be open to disabling the rikka posts here and instead directing people to the dedicated community. For an example of what that would look like, here is a random episode thread for Dungeon Meshi that rikka made a post in.

    So, the way it would work is basically:

    1. You create the episode discussion thread in your community
    2. (Optional) PM or @mention me to let me know the post has been made (I will probably see it relatively quickly anyway)
    3. I will manually add the thread to rikka’s database, and tell her to create a comment in the thread with the full table of episode links
    4. I will create a post in the !anime@ani.social community from rikka pointing to your discussion thread

        Absolutely! Feel free to format the posts however you want since it is your community. The only ask is that rikka be the one to create the post in this community (!anime@ani.social) that points to your discussion thread.

        The reason all the episode discussion posts are consolidated under rikka isn’t only because I automated it with the bot, but because many people aren’t interested in the discussion threads. So, having only rikka be allowed to make the posts in this community allows those people to block the account and not see them. I have a whole write-up of what led to this decision here.
