I mostly get backpain when I’m cleaning.

She’s holding a can of Strong Zero, which is a ready-to-drink longdrink made from spirit, juice(s), sugar and flavorings. i.e. not beer
Cursive was a mistake. It’s still very common to write like that where I live, and most people’s cursive is really hard to read, especially when they’re not making an effort to write pretty (e.g. for birthday cards). The handwriting of most doctors and nurses who write in latin script might as well be arabic.
Faulty premise. There are lots of series that are pretty close in style that aren’t made in Japan, e.g. https://whatnerd.com/best-non-japanese-anime-series/ (I just searched for “anime not made in japan” and this was one of the first results). There are also many Japanese animation studios who outsource some amount of work to other east-asian countries to save on costs.
And considering that manwha (Korean comics) looks exactly like manga, that’s exactly as expected.
What did the witcher tv series try to educate us about? havent seen it.
I read that most Japanese houses aren’t set up for being warm in winter, i.e. they’re often drafty and many (most?) don’t even have central heating. Hard to imagine living like that. Plus all the skirts with bare legs you see in manga/anime, including episodes that take place in winter … I know central Japan doesn’t really get that cold, but even 5°C is freezing in clothes like that.
Not having grades is definitely big. Depends on the job though, some do still have that “every day is a test” feeling.

Learned a new word today! Seems like it should be more well-known than it is.

7·6 months agoRobotics;Notes is really comfy, even though it actually does have a plot.
K-ON! is pretty great, I remember it being quite comfy, too. Haven’t rewatched it in a while, though, maybe it’s more hyper than I remember - there was no Yuru Camp to compare it to when I first watched it.
Sponges are very fit for their environment! Meanwhile, I have backpain.
I am a delinquent with a rotten brain. Not because of games, though!
Speak for yourself, I love the taste much more than getting drunk! Though having a tasty beverage is also a good distraction.
Sometimes I make mocktails at home. e.g. pineapple juice and coconut milk is a winning combo even without booze, and Rock Shandy (lemon-lime soda with Angostura Bitters) is very refreshing.
Good list!
I’d like to add a couple cocktails that taste good while still tasting like the alcohol that goes in it:
-
Sherry Cobbler
-
Ti’Punch
-
Jungle Bird
-
Fairy Sugar Mama (if you don’t hate licorice)
-
Mint Julep
Daqueri
You mean Daiquiri?

Definitely an acquired taste. And somehow, I picked up a taste for straight high-proof spirits but still can’t stand hoppy beer.
Also workouts that leave you sore just when you need your strength. e.g. an extremely exhausting workout the day before you’re moving.

6·10 months agoStill K-ON!, TBH. I like band-themed anime, it’s more than one season and there’s just enough yuri injected to spice it up (though it’s more of a running gag than anything trying to be serious).
I really enjoyed the more recent Laid-back Camp/Yuru Camp. Incredibly chill.

3·10 months agoI’ve been rewatching K-ON! and Robotics;Notes pretty often for a while. Currently rewatching Bocchi The Rock, and I might give Yuru Camp another round one of these days. I’m not seasonal about it, though.

trans-coding ahoy!
Hmmm. Having read the first 16 chapters, it’s another one of those “overpowered hero” stories that I’ve become quite sick of. The main enemy seems to be the patriarchy spread across various traditionalist characters, which is kind of interesting, but so far the MC has solved every issue by being overpowered, which is lame. At least the author doesn’t drag out the “this is why the hero is awesome” monologues/explanations like some other works in the genre …
Also the trans-coding stayed non-explicit so far. I still think that it is trans-coded, but it’s not preachy or angsty about it.
