Doesn’t this just mean storing necessary information required to make the service work? For example, you can’t log in to a website without storing some information and a cookie, etc.
That would fall under legitimate and necessary to me.
Hi there!
Doesn’t this just mean storing necessary information required to make the service work? For example, you can’t log in to a website without storing some information and a cookie, etc.
That would fall under legitimate and necessary to me.
Just in case it has something to do with how the app converts from server time and local time, could you share what timezone you’re in for the dev?
And the device/Android version you’re using might be handy too. Thanks! :-D
I never realised there were so many Reddit mods here! Haha.
I must be the only Boost user that stopped using Boost when the API went down, because I’m not a mod xD
I was wondering about this when somebody mentioned it in the other thread, so I hope you don’t mind me asking here, why would you still have the Reddit application still installed?
It doesn’t work since the API was shut down, and there’s no other reason to keep it installed.
If you simply remove it, there won’t be any confusion around the icons any more :-D
I haven’t seen any bugs either! Though I seem to be missing the hide post feature, which I use when I’m scrolling and I see something that’s very triggering, and I want to ensure I don’t see it again 😟
I didn’t see ads, but maybe my PiHole blocked them?
Regardless, I spent the £3.08 for the advert free version regardless, the developer more than deserves it and more for all their good work.
Why keep the old one installed at all? Surely it doesn’t work since they disabled the API, as absolutely fantastic as it was, now it’s just a dead app taking up disk space.
How do I hide, or limit the height of images people embed into their comments such as this one, in Boost?
This image is huge for example, and ideally I just want a small version I can tap to expand, and not have to scroll past this whole thing (plus it seems like it’s cropped on the sides, only showing half a phone screen on either side - or maybe that’s the full image I don’t know?).
Thanks!!
You’ve made my month!! If I spot any issues I shall report them :-)
Are you trying to tell me he can’t just ask chatGPT to change the code to work with Lemmy and have it done in 2 minutes?!
🤣
Ah yes thanks for reminding me I was going to submit this too. Only bug I’ve spotted so far thankfully!
