If they are indeed going after MangaDex they are shooting themselves in both feet. MangaDex is the one site that pretty much immediately reacts to DMCA claims by publishers and authors. If they lawyer them out of the space the void will be taken up by entities that play less nice.

I’m surprised but not really by darkness’ father being rather chill for a noble. I do have to wonder wtf is up with that debt now though and how the crew will inevitably clear it (maybe big bro Kazuma can get something done via his newly acquired little sister)

So I think it’s fair to say Chris has been tasked by Eris to gather these artifacts, presumably through one of her followers. And given Eris’ reaction to Kazuma claiming Chris’ chest is so small he thought she was a dude first Aqua’s allegation of “Eris pads her chest” might be true… iykyk

Kazuma getting into all sorts of situations during the body swap was expected, it made for good humor as I thought. I’m a bit more interested to see Megumin guide Princess Kazuma through the capital, there is some fun to be found watching that I’m sure.

He should take the opportunity to hand in the first found artifact if he’s meeting Eris again anyway

Sounds about right, it’s one of those where you go “uh what?” and look back at all the subtle hints and things that suddenly get extra meaning or make more sense

Unsurprisingly the entire cast except darkness overextend their stay, gotta feel bad for her having to drag this party around high circles.

I already suspected the thief was Chris really given all the info we had suspecting her was just natural, if only because she is the only named thief we know in the show and has already been seen stealing from Kazuma this season. I do wonder who her client is and what they want with these cheat artifacts, I do have a suspicion but I’m not sure since it’s based on a single spoiler I was exposed to once.

Kazuma changing his mind about fighting the demon lord army in order to cheat his way to glory is also very Kazuma of him, granted I think having Megumin on that battlefield is bound to produce interesting results.

I urgently need more of this.

Remember the special edition Vanir mask exclusively given to Kazuma? Well I do and I’m certain Kazuma forgot that his mask has a unique color. I foresee great debt in their future (again)

That intro went well for a grand total of no time at all, poor Kazuma. Granted I don’t think he’d be a better fit with any other party. I think this is the first time I’ve seen Aqua’s Party tricks turn out as a net positive for the party, although the encounter isn’t over yet so I might come to eat my words.

Props to Aqua for holding in the laughter at Kazuma’s absolute BS of an origin story, even more so given how she is apparently set on emptying the royal wine cellar all by her lonesome.

Did… did the Loli just kidnap the Scumbag? Doesn’t that usually go the other way around? Did no one in the palace give Iris lessons in human decency? On the other hand nah she’ll be right at home with the other misfits we know so far.

End result of that is prices increasing across the board, historically coins were weighed due to this exact scenario (and general counterfeiting). All inflation really describes is prices going up, it doesn’t necessarily need to be caused by more money being created. Instead it can have many other causes like is the case here with the material value of the coinage being reduced.

Buying imported goods would be an option but it requires considerable starting funds. Plus it might take a good while for the currency to notably decline in value. Selling the information also doesn’t strike me as a good option since Lawrence has neither a reputation as a data broker nor any proof besides a pair of very sensitive wolf ears. So I suspect his scheme must be something more niche I haven’t thought about yet.

Holo is on the fast track towards becoming one of my favourite characters. Plus she and Lawrence make for such a nice pairing I can hardly wait to see the ship set sail.

Holo enhancing the Pelts with Apple flavour is a tactic I am surprised no one else has thought of yet. Wise Wolf indeed, though a gluttonous one as well judging by the size of that Apple pile on the cart. A bit more grease between Holo and Lawrence’s interactions would do them well though, as is someone with a fine tooth for conversation subtext might pick up the disconnect between what Lawrence intends and what Holo has planned and subsequently use that to their own advantage. I do wonder what Lawrence has thought up, I can think of several ways to benefit from inflation (really that’s what’s going on here) but none of the options I can think of work in the historic context or without substantial starting funds.

In today’s Episode: Makoto’s opinion of Hyumans continues to nosedive. In other news water is wet and air necessary for breathing.

Jokes aside I really feel for Makoto, he is not used to this cut throat lifestyle and has frankly only come so far because Rembrandt is sympathetic towards him and thus refused to get into Makoto’s way. Really Makoto should have foreseen outside forces analyzing his monetary flow and prepared a suitable alibi, instead he got caught unprepared and is now suffering the consequences of living too honestly.

I’m on the fucking floor and I haven’t even seen the OP yet… I’d say this is going to be another masterpiece of comedy

On the other: I fear the dub team has horrendous working conditions

I think the teaching part really freshened up the Story, in the WN, Manga and here. It help anchor down Makoto to the realm of the mortal just that little bit better by having him interact with young people instead of only trained adventurers and the like. Without the teaching side job I think the Story would be a lot further down the power escalation journey than it currently is, which is very welcome on my end.

I love how Makoto is just an absolute demon of a teacher to the students. Brutal but effective.
