I think this type of posts will have an opposite impact to what we want, we are just giving it the attention it needs to become what it was on Reddit, my recommendation? Block it immediately.

Nice, I got it working with this type of mention !communityname@instance.domain. But I want to see if I can convert the link form too, I will probably make a post once is done.
So far I haven’t seen any aggressiveness in the communities I’ve been, you should definitely give it a try and post something.
I haven’t checked but are kbin instances easier to spin up? Kbin is be able to communicate with Lemmy communities without a problem.
What you want to do is search for @totk@lemmy.ml
, basically just replacing the exclamation mark (!) for the @ symbol.
Why? Because kbin uses the @ symbol and Lemmy uses the ! symbol for the communities.
Edit: I’m working in an extension for chrome and firefox it will basically convert the lemmy format !communityname@instance.domain
to the kbin format so you just need to click on it.
Interesting, I might look into modifying the extension for it to work with kbin
It would be awesome for it to convert https://lemmy.ml/c/memes into https://kbin.social/m/memes@lemmy.ml automatically.
Ok, so you can see/enter kbin communities from lemmy. I wasn’t sure if the communication worked both ways. Thanks for checking
@ernest could this work on kbin as well?
Yes, magazines on kbin are the same as communities on lemmy
Post the link so people in other instances can subscribe to it
Wow. You just made me check and I was on reddit for 14 hours a week. Hopefully the fediverse won’t be as addictive (so far is not looking good)
Yes! We want to read what you have to say!
welcome to kbin!
Yes, it was working ok before the AMA, now it’s feeling sluggish. I guess is expected considering the amount of people coming over. New users are all welcome, and we’re glad to have you.
I understand, there’s many people that want nothing to do with a community like that, me included, but ultimately it will being attention to it, because some sympathize with these points of view. Hopefully the admins of shitjustworks take measures to make sure there’s no racism on their instance.
