Really sad to see all these creators of legendary series like Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon Ball dying. Rest in peace.
Thank you for addressing the bugs rather than releasing it early and thank you for your hard work. :)
Holy shit a new season?! Let’s fucking go!!!
Honestly, kind of but maybe not really. I mean, yes there are improvements of course, but a bunch of them aren’t very visible, and of course I understand that. It just feels very stable.
It kind of just works, for the most part, which is a good thing - minus this bug which has been fixed over a month ago but I guess is not live yet on every instance: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/1968 because I still run into this bug, and it’s still annoying unfortunately.
Outside of that, there’s not really too much going wrong for me to notice any huge improvements.
edit: Oh, it’s because 0.19.0 UI has not had a stable release yet (nor has 0.19.0 server), once that releases as long as there aren’t many regressions I won’t really have any more complaints about Lemmy (other than maybe the non-SEO-friendly URLs).
COBOL too lol
I’d say it’s more than just practice. It requires a certain way of thinking too.
I find that those people usually are the ones in charge.
Don’t forget to nest your callback a few levels deep, that way it’s easier to use.
It seems like self-hosting your own Lemmy instance with registrations, communities, and pretty much anything else turned off is still very safe to do. I still want to end up self-hosting my own Lemmy instance some time when I have more time. Though I’d rather wait for things to be more stable first, there’s bugs I’d like to be ironed out before doing that probably, like one example is I still find it annoying that upvoting a comment in a thread deletes whatever comment you’re currently typing.
Well, I think bug fixes and general improvements is a good thing too
If donating directly to the two main Lemmy developers, then every instance benefits lol
The Lemmy software itself is decentralized though, and if the software gets better we all benefit from it.
That describes two out of the four jobs I’ve had in my career lol
It pays the bills though so what can I say, the tech I actually want to work with is what personal projects are for lol
I honestly enjoy stuff like this. I’m employed again recently, fully remote and decent pay thankfully, but I do appreciate stuff like this. It takes some of the monotony out of applying for jobs at least lol
