This is acceptable for commonly used, hot items. But you also need a colder storage for stuff that you ain’t gonna wear everyday!
This young lady is just inefficient and has no care for the cost of hot cache.
Personally, I use a top of bed hot cache, a chair warm cache and the rest in cold closet.
I tend to just ignore them and fix shit here and there as the opportunities arise. Whenever there is a lull, I can go and do some good. But sometimes the problems are truly deep and there isn’t much that can be done without a real commitment.
The amount of times I’ve annoyed bosses about the worrying amount of warnings in projects that are in production, to then be completely shut down about my concerns is … disheartening.
Then when it’s a job, you can replace that with weeks. But instead of a silly syntax error, it’s a slow memory leak that nobody seems to have noticed for years, but that now forces you to restart your service every day at the very least. And we just spent an afternoon, six people, looking at it and only making it worse.

You can just go in Folder View and uncheck “hide known file extensions” to fix that! ;)
“Magic bytes”? We just called them headers, back in my day (even if sometimes they are at the end of the file)
No. The Office ???x files are archives. Inside them you can find folders with resources. Among those, you can find files written in markup languages.
