Wotakoi is still available on Prime Video actually. It’s a relic from the year they decided they were going to get into anime simulcasts before promptly giving up on it.

Super excited for this one! I don’t usually find a manga before the anime but this is one of those. I read the whole thing in a couple days and then found out it had an anime on the way!

Doing a quick estimate, that means each movie should be roughly 2 hours with not too many cuts for time. That’s probably needed here since cutting things seems like it will be difficult in a show with this sort of pacing.

I’m really looking forward to these, but mostly in the hopes that we’ll be getting another season afterwards. Do we know if they’ll have new animation or is it just the original series edited down for movie length?

I saw the English dub and loved it. Was very surprised by a lot of the VAs in it.

I made the mistake of thinking I could just show up to the theater and buy a ticket. Ended up having to push things back to one of the later showtimes. Great movie!

Did something happen with JJK? I was a couple episodes behind, but caught up yesterday, so I guess I’m out of the loop if there was a delay.

I love this show, but I wouldn’t have watched it if I knew anything about it beforehand. The main character and his actions are just so disgusting. However, I was sick in bed with Covid and looking for something new to watch while I couldn’t leave the house. I remembered a friend had told me about an anime that’s supposedly so good they had to make a whole production studio just for it. Season 1 had finished airing months earlier too, which was perfect because I knew I wouldn’t run out of episodes anytime soon… I ended up watching the whole season that day.

When did Unity as a company get so bad? I remember a time when the engine had a poor reputation for things like “looking worse than Unreal” but I feel like the company has been making a lot of terrible moves lately that I never heard anything comparable to back then.

Didn’t the Quest Pro do that? I think AR virtual monitors on Mac was a thing they showcased.

It’s not specific to kbin actually, it’s just how the activitypub protocol reports likes/upvotes. I can see votes on lemmy threads made by lemmy users for example because that data needs to be reported as part of the protocol.

I agree, I think it’s useful! I also blocked a person yesterday who was downvote stalking me, they clearly didn’t want to see the things I was posting anyway.

They’re definitely not anonymous, and Kbin actually does have the UI to show who is upvoting and downvoting any post if you view it on there.
