There are some services such as lemmyverse.link to link to posts and comments in a instance agnostic way, but they aren’t a native solution.

I don’t know how better the VN is, but like you, I also have it in my wishlist. VNs generally are more detailed than anime though.

Sure, if it is text, it is pretty easy. Though the person behind this started using images, so optical image recognition might be needed, which would scan incoming PMs and check for certain words.
