There is and I just discovered it this afternoon. Go to your profile settings and it will be there. Look for Type and Options fields. Hope this helps some.
I am using the Liftoff app. It looks pretty safe but I don’t really know.
Lemmy, being part of the ActivityPub fediverse should have that capability, if not now, then real soon. Remember that Lemmy is still quite young and growing. I foresee great things for it in the future.
I just joined Lemmy yesterday morning so I don’t have a huge frame of reference but I am enjoying it very much so far.
The only DDoS that I can half-way tolerate is ones that go against corporations/governments that do evil shit. And even then, those attacks had better not effect people’s health and welfare needs. Yes, assholes abound.
