Your company and mine seem to be very different. We have agile coaches, but they mostly organise cooperation and shoulder check our stakeholders if they try to scope creep some bullshit in.
True, but have you had a look at the leaders of our countries lately?
With my stakeholders TDD is nearly impossible. I mean it’s possible, but doesn’t make sense as they shuffle their specifications every other day. I implement, they decide they wanted something different, I refactor, they don’t like it, I refactor, they accept, I write tests.

JavaScript might even concatenate some integers instead of adding them just for shits and giggles.
Obviously the backend developer trying to test the API. Then creating an openapi spec and the frontend developer importing that to not writing the client by hand.
Besides that, that has to be the lamest DTO possible. They could have added some kind of skills array or an embedded address field to make it more than a flat object.
That’s hilarious. Probably the lovechild of some clueless HR dude that thought he was a genius.
Lies! I almost never wear socks!
If your ability to help is 10 years old as well it might indeed be a good idea to recommend something you know more about. I’m in the same boat, I lost almost all memory of Windows troubleshooting over the last years. It’s not been a decade, but Windows 8 was the last version I touched.
Random person I met the very first time two days ago while on a walk with one of my dogs: so what do you do for a living?
Me: software engineering.
Them: oh great. I have this issue with my computer …
I’m in this picture and I love how good I look 💖
It was 2013 and php was not nice and sexy and anything I wanted to do with my .net and Java background. But it was a new job and it seemed every new employee had to suffer for at least one project.
But that happened to most of us I’d wager, so you’re at least not alone.
The temporary construct is the most durable of them all 😔
