Oh yeah no complaints in the animation quality department.
I now really think that having so many people with so many relationships was what is stopping me from enjoying this anime so much.
But I guess that means the name is accurate: we really do see the goings on of the entire city, not just an inner circle with side characters.

Though now we know why this formula is everywhere, the information overload is real.

The summer is over and so is City. It was nice posting in these threads while it lasted.
Anyway at the end I feel like I don’t really like this anime. There were some nice moments and a few funny bits, but overall… nah. This final episode especially felt like most of it was the creator torturing me knowing that I’d want to finish it now that I’ve come so far.

Sadly I can’t really put my finger on what exactly this show was lacking for me. I like comedy, I like slice of life… idk maybe there were too many characters or smth

tbh this episode didn’t click for me tho. I really didn’t enjoy the theater segment, and the riko izumi story line felt way too long. Oh and I didn’t find the guinness record bit funny either.

I can’t tell tho whether this is a case of “I don’t like this” or “this is just genuinely unfunny”. I’ll be sticking with it thru the end but uhh… already not looking forward to City Sundays anymore.

True, just saying that I can’t say whether these 10 anime are all better than City.

No clue but I don’t think so? I haven’t watched any of these 10 anime anyway so it might just be that it legitimately just isn’t that good idk. It just feels kinda wrong but I’m also the last person you should ask about anime stuff.

While I enjoyed the first episode, I noticed that I liked subsequent episodes less and less. To the point where after episode 4 I started thinking of dropping the show.
And I’m really glad I’m sticking with it because this episode was really cool. Now looking forward to what they’ll come up with next. Tho I do hope that they don’t try to out do themselves and give us 16 simultaneous plots next.

So after the episode last week I’ve been watching a few nichijou memes (sadly it’s not streaming here so that’s all I can do) and OMG the shrine is that shrine from when the 3 girls were sitting in the rain in nichijou right?

Also is it just me or is that one poster in the magazine studio suspiciously similar to the art style used in “Hai Yorokonde”? (could also be a common art style that I am just not aware of but that was my first thought).

Saw this in my feed and decided to give it a try. I’m not a huge anime watcher and only kinda know of nichijou because of a meme (good morning evernyan! Oh my gah!) but so far I’m really digging this. I don’t get the connection tho??

The art style is really cool and I was kinda shocked because I’ve never seen anime try to emulate depth of field like this before.

Definitely going to upgrade to a more heat resilient briefcase for my ramen needs tho.
