2. How would that impact moderation and rules? Ie, just because some random person tagged a post #politics doesn’t mean it complies with the rules of that lemmy community.

No you don’t understand correctly. You login to your lemmy account to get a code so you can login to canvas.

Their original system required you to enter your creds + OTP, so this is a huge improvement 🤣

Get your instance to upgrade to the newest version, there’s bug fixes.

Oddly enough I just ran into this on my own account on lemmy.ca, so this might be a lemmy bug.

You’ll need to get one of the lemmy.ml admins to remove the TOTP on your account from the db.
