The TBATE novel is damn good. I hope the anime gets better.

I read the manga for this. Interesting concept. Didn’t know it was picked up as an anime.

I caught up on the LN after episode 1 of the anime.

The story is a fun twist on the overplayed “I died and got reborn in my favourite game” genre. The characters and growth is fantastic and dark.

I wonder why in the scene where Atou asked Takuto whether she was too harsh he switched to his ominous form for a second. Could this be the same as Ainz from Overlord? Being evil being makes you lose compassion?

I thinkaybe but not quite. Ainz was a bit self aware about it. He questioned himself over killing humans.

Takuto just didn’t care. He started his nation and wanted to build a peaceful city. These “good guys” came to attack/kill/expose them. Atou tried a peaceful route. But the “good guys” still ended up invading the “peaceful elves” so they left Atou no choice. They were enemies. Enemies just need to be crushed. Takuto saw the entire thing through his RTS Atou view (the red eyes) so he saw how devoted they were to thier mission regardless of harming the innocent and persecuted dark elves.

This is also from the same nation that hunted down neutral dark elves because of thier potential threat.

First time seeing basically an RTS isekai. Makes sense we’ll get lots of management episodes.

So happy they got picked up for season 2 though. Chill foody isekai with a fun story and fantastic animation / cgi

Just started reading the novel since ep1 aired. I’m in the 400s now. Not bad overall but Ryo does get annoying with his mindset.

Not to mention he’s hesitant to turn into a human instead of wishing for the ability to switch to a human.

Way too many isekai stories have a timid main character that’s scared of shit.

I’m mainly annoyed he can buy telepathy but won’t because he’s scared…

I don’t think we ever see them again either. They had that chibi scene after credits with them complaining about the food and mention the “adventurer with the fenrir.”

MC caught on quick that the royalty was twisted with the fat king decked out in jewels. The teen hero team ate it up but he was out. Knew to gtfo of the country and keep his head down.

Can’t wait for the new familiar and more food porn! I re-watch this series often to just chill out and enjoy something casual with no drama. We need more peaceful isekai like this one, bookworm and farming ones.
