Not from State Farm. Sorry to disappoint. I’m just a half-Iranian American exploring the fediverse. I am interested in science, tech, philosophy, animals, comedy, a wide range of music, and even politics. Though the politics in my country are plain depressing atm.

Also if people wanted a private community couldn’t they just use an unfederated server?
I am still waiting for multilemmies to become a feature so I can better organize my feed.

If you are that concerned, I wouldn’t suggest posting anything on the internet. Only send encrypted messages directly to the people you’d like to talk to and share with.
If the community is public and shows up on All, then yes. I don’t know if lemmy has private sublemmies but if they do, that might be the solution you are looking for.
Karma was never what made me want to post. It was seeing people’s reactions to my project/thoughts.
Purity is also unhealthy.
