1 year agoI miss some communities here that are present on Reddit. But you’re right, here you can feel yourself more free and more engaged. With some time and some effort, this can be very awesome.
One thing I learnt about toxicity during the year and few months I’m on the fediverse is that admins are more proactive to the server’s rules. There are servers with fewer rules or with poor admins/moderators, but those that are more serious, you won’t feel like you’re defenceless.
Another good thing is that you can create your own server with your own rules and a better management than the place where you were on.
So, yes, toxicity will come eventually, but with a good set of rules and decent admins/moderators to make them come into effect, this place will be wonderful.
