Mine has one. It’s part of the touchscreen. You put your finger/ thumb on that part of the screen whenever it asks for your fingerprint.

No, the instructions must be followed or it won’t work. /j
And probably the intranet, too, just to be safe.
My brain honestly just skipped over it until I saw your comment.
From the dev has said, it sounds like it’s Google’s language, not his. So he probably doesn’t have any control over the phrasing.
Just linking the comment you quoted for posterity: https://lemmy.world/comment/3811201
That comment is from the dev who made the app.
I agree with this. I’ve still got Boost for Reddit on my phone and it still works (for now), so I’d rather have two slightly different app icons to distinguish the two different apps.
Thanks to this, I realized Boost for Lemmy is finally out! I immediately signed up for the beta and downloaded it.
I’m a former mod, too. (I created a subreddit years ago as a meme and almost immediately abandoned it.) I’m still able to use Boost for Reddit. Though I’m limiting my usage by a lot.
Awaiting Boost for Lemmy, but I’m happy with Connect for now.
One of my favorite openings and endings has to be the ones for Bye Bye, Earth.
