It’s the best movie I would never recommend to watch. Unless you really want to feel miserable afterwards.

Yeah, I agree with this. Also each of his films has a clear motif, but this one is super vague. It’s about acceptance of death maybe? Or growing up? Letting go of… stuff?

For me, it’s between Ghost in the Shell (that iconic chant!) and Princess Mononoke.
