    Just to be clear, your expectation is that people will click on your username and read your bio before responding to you? How would they know to do that?

      In modern social media, not lemmy, everything in my bio is displayed on my name field. The timestamp being the last thing in the field. Other frontends allow to see the bio just by hovering your select icon over to a name.
      Ideally we would be in OCapN, so I could ignore my DNIs at network level, but that’s not where the yard sold are.

      How would they know to do that?

      That’s something lemmy users need to ask, not I. Unsure how Dessalines & Nutomic are going to educatevanguard their proles to have basic netiquette.

      I would assume folks would just use gender-neutral pronouns by default, seeing as they don’t know their gender anyway. Having them in the bio just makes them available for those who care to check.
