So I haven’t played on non-emulator for a long time, and part of the reason is that my SoulSilver is full of amazing mons from LG and Emerald, including a few shinies, my original Rayquaza, and an event Jirachi. It’s the culmination of years of play over the 3 games. I was hoping to get into some newer games and keep them, but it seems like Home won’t be around much longer. It sounds like if I want to keep them and move them to newer games, I would need a couple of 3ds units (own a switch) and a physical version of a game from each mainline generation. Am I boned if I can’t do that in the next few months?

    Just to correct some information:

It’s Pokemon Bank (transfers pokemon Gen 5 and up) that will be at its end of service, and will no longer be compatible with Pokémon Home.

At minimum, you would need a GBA-compatible DS (for GBA to DS), a 3DS (for Gen 5 and up), a single switch and a Home subscription to get everything into home.

You also at least need a Gen 4 (I see you have HG) game and BW2 in its Post Game to transfer beyond the DS era.

If you have some games already, great. If you can get a couple more in a fast time, also great.
