Yesterday, mid-day I saw a large bird land and perch on a tree across the lake. I grabbed our binoculars, stepping onto the porch to identify the bird. Was it a bald eagle or an osprey or something else. No white head and I the white shoulder markings and recognized an osprey. Paddling on our shore were two Canada geese and their six goslings. The osprey took flight and we quickly searched “Do osprey eat other birds” and received a yes. The goslings were possible prey.
