Yep lem.ee was the big one. Before that the lemmy.film closing was sad.
Many have also left Lemmy.ml and Lemmy.world

Piefed offered more features (still does) when lemm.ee shut down.
There weren’t that many instances at the time but I just created !newcomers@piefed.zip to decentralize
