Well damn, this is one of a few anime shows I watched, and it was okay, will have to check out the movie once it releases.
Have strong opinions, but I welcome any civil fact-based discussion.

https://join-lemmy.org/support goes to the Lemmy developers not to any particual instance though lemmy.ml
is hosted by the Lemmy developers. Each individual instance have their own support methods in the sidebar.
Yes.
Which there is no way to verify as the app is closed source. So it’s just a speculation.
https://lemmyapps.netlify.app has a list
There is a Jerboa fork that supports Android 5+ https://github.com/ShinyLuxray/jerboa/releases
You can append (intext:"modlog" & "instances" & "docs" & "code" & "join lemmy")
to your search query to search through all Lemmy instances. Works with Google, Startpage, SearX.
People are already working on unified search tool, it’s not really hard as all you need is a list of instances and and a way to index them.
Not so much in All feed and my Subscribed is feed is pretty curated, but if I switch to Top then pretty much yeah. 🤣
vlemmy.net situation is unrelated. Admin of the instance just closed shop and disabled all the donation links without saying a word.
This sounds like a terrible idea to me. You don’t need a range of emojis to be able to express yourself, that’s what comment box is for. Having emojis would just reduce actual interaction. Your interaction with people shouldn’t be a race, just make it meanigful instead.
For what purpose though? They add no value as they have 0 engagement. But as long as they are posted on dedicated instances and accounts marked as bots, I have no issue with them.
Yeah, my bad. It was on mind so I just typed it even though it’s unrelated to what I was thinking.
Google and any metasearch engine that uses Google results like Startpage, Leta, SearX, etc. Not sure about Bing.

It is. Different clients handle it differently. If you note, the repository where the request is made is for lemmy-ui, not lemmy backend.
E.g. Photon shows a single item with a dropdown to expand matching posts if they were posted at the same, which is common with cross-posts on All, Local, Subscribed feeds.
And then it lists all cross-posts on individual pages in a neat list with stats like votes, number of comments, etc.
